Blackberry's new BB10 machine, the Blackberry Q10, is now available for pre-order in the UK and can ship at the end of the month.
In an official blogpost from BlackBerry, customers can now pre-order
from both Carphone Warehouse and Phones4u across a range of networks,
including O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Three, EE, Vodafone and TalkMobile and
will be available at the end of April.
Carphone Warehouse prices the devices at £579.95 SIM-free or free on a
2-year, £36-per-month
contract. The first 2,000 customers to pre-order
on a pay monthly contract will receive a wireless Bluetooth speaker
worth £79.95.
Phones4u are offering the smartphone for £549.95 along with a free
64GB BlackBerry PlayBook tablet worth around £120 to the first 300
customers who pre-order either on SIM-Free or on contract.
Phones4u offered a similar deal during the BlackBerry Z10 launch at the end of January with 250 online customers and 50 store customers given the tablet.
Blackberry launched two new Blackberry 10 OS handsets earlier this year, the BlackBerry Z10 and Q10. The Z10 sports a full touchscreen, whereas the Q10 features a 3.1-inch touchscreen on top of a QWERTY keyboard.
The Q10 specifications include a 1.GHz dual-core processor, 16GB
onboard storage plus microSD capability up to 64GB, an 8MP camera on the
back, 2 MP front-facing camera and Super AMOLED screen.
The two new handsets will be going up against smartphones such as, the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S3.
