Few Pre-requisites and Disclaimer
1. Backup all the data you find important like contacts and all. Also make sure your phone has minimum of 60% power while starting the installation process.2. Also, this ROM is flashable only on HTC EVO Shift 4G and don’t try on any other device.
3. We make sure to make the guides error free but we always advise you to install these guides at your own risk. We are not responsible for any thing if at all goes wrong during installation.
Installing JellyBelly Omega Build 1.1 ROM on HTC EVO Shift 4G
1. Download JellyBelly-Omega-v1.1-speedy.zip from http://d-h.st/5fx
2. Now copy this file to the SD card on your device.
3. Once done, boot the device in to recovery mode. To do so, press and hold Volume Down and Power button together to boot into HBOOT menu, from there select Recovery [use volume buttons to scroll and Power button to select].
4. Perform a Nandroid backup, select Backup and Restore, then on the next screen, select Backup again. Go back to main recovery menu after backup process is finished.
5. Now select wipe data/factory reset, then select Yes on next screen to confirm your action. Wait few minutes till the data wiping process is done. Now come back to CWM recovery main menu. Select wipe cache partition and after wiping cache partition process completed, select Wipe Dalvik Cache under advance option to perform Dalvik cache wiping. When all of this is done, we can move to next step.
6. Now select install zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from sdcard. Locate the JellyBelly-Omega-v1.1-speedy.zip file that you copied earlier and select it by pressing Power button. Confirm installation on next screen and the ROM installation procedure should begin.
7. When you are through with this, go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot the phone. The phone will now boot the new ROM that we installed just now.
8. There you go…Enjoy your new ROM with loads of features!!!
Just in case you need to get back to the previous ROM, just go to backup and restore and select the Nandroid backup you took earlier, and you should be able to get back to the previous ROM.
